A not so long time ago in a suburb not too far away...
I don't think there is anything that drives me crazier than attempting to fix a computer code/html issue.
I don't think there is anything that drives me crazier than attempting to fix a computer code/html issue.
Ok, there are a few things that drive me crazier.
1. When little tiny bits of tiolet paper are strewn across the carpet. And then left there. For me to clean up.
(And even worse is when those little bits of toilet paper somehow manage to get wet. Can you tell my three year old has had a very active day?)
2. When my favorite slippers in all of the known universe get chewed to threads. And those threads are just left there. For me to clean up.
(Can you tell my chocolate lab puppy has had a very active day?)
3.When my favorite kitchen chair, the one I sit upon daily in order to access the world wide web, suddenly has fluff issues and all of the fluff goes to exactly one side of the chair leaving a cavernous dent in the other side of the chair, rendering said chair quite uncomfortable.
(What is the point of a chair upon which one can not sit, pray tell??)
Anyway, after all that crazy comes computer html code blog hullaballoo and I have had one heck of a day, let me tell you.
But I did go to the Whole Foods today (alone) and I think I was pushing my buggy around the store (alone) with a large smile on my face. I walked past the salad bar (alone) just to peruse the selection. I sniffed the home made pizza aroma and sampled a tasty, crunchy tortilla chip. I'm sure it was organic. I eyed the beef and noted the ready-to-saute veggies. I didn't really need anything, but I bought some things anyway (alone), and it made me happy. Alone.
Whole Foods is just a place of happy and I will go there more often. (Alone)
The End.
Actually, there's more.
Due to the unfortunateness of my bloggy html code whathaveyou issues that I took it upon myself to finally fix, I have been avoiding this blog like the McDonald's playland in wintertime. (Isn't that where the plague comes from?) So finally in a fit of desperation, or actually just because I had a few free minutes (Or at least I thought I did. Please see #'s 1 and 2 above), I sat upon #3 and attempted a few corrections.
Approximately 4 hours later (give or take) and having deleted just about every widgety bloggety html javascript biggety boo that I thought I could live without, I realized I had to delete some of the actual blog code, so with great fear and trembling I, well, I deleted some blog code
There you go. Time well spent.
Who knows? Maybe I will stop by here more often now!
So I had better leave you with a few inspiring images.
This first is a video that I took during a preview day of Audrey Kate's ballet class. She is by far the youngest there, but she LOVES it and is learning so much. On this particular day the moms sat and watched the girls perform some skills, we participated with them some, and at the end the teacher instructed each girl to take a curtsy, complete with a bouquet of fake flowers. She fully demonstrated the technique, and each girl before Audrey Kate got the basic gist of the curtsy. But AK? Not so much. Here, just see for yourself:
Oh this girl just makes me laugh. And, also, cry. But mostly laugh.
Kinda freaky, eh?
I love brownies. And I love cookies. So what about a brownie cookie? YES PLEASE!
I made these last weekend and ohmygoodness they are delish. Go. Make some!
I am a little embarrassed to admit it, but my six year old has become a huge Star Wars fan. It is odd. It is quirky. It is funny. All of those things, yes. Joe taped one of the movies a few months ago from TV and we all watched it (ok, ok, I fell asleep. I admit it) and Abby was enthralled. She was hooked on the Skywalker baby-daddy subplot. She talked and talked about watching more of the movies, so for Christmas we got the entire Star Wars sets, episodes I-VI (of course, if you are a pure Star Wars fan, we know that episodes I-III don't really exist. SHHHH.) and we watched those bad boys one per night for an entire week. Or an entire VI days. As it were.
Abby laughed, she cried, she read...very, very, very slowly... the opening credits. "In a gal-A-xy far, far, away..." (what's a gal-A-xy dad?), she ooohed and ahhhed at the eewoks. She cheered when the Death Star exploded. She was fascinated to know what Vader looked like behind that mask!
Well, fast forward a couple of weeks and Abby was given a school project to make a snow creature out of things around the house. Who did she choose her snow creature to be?
Meet snow Leia.
And now, if you will allow me to say it:
May the Force
be with
you.

This next picture I took one night with my phone while the girls were playing with the Charlie-dog and I love how it turned out. All week Audrey Kate has been asking to see, "Charlie with the green eyes."
Kinda freaky, eh?
